Lazy Monday mornings with my favorite little critter.
Wednesday night my friend Spencer found out he has leukemia. He’s easily one of the funniest, most genuine guys I’ve ever met. How unfair is that? Out of everyone in my high school it had to be Spencer (not saying I wish someone else had gotten it, but in all honesty Spencer shouldn’t have gotten leukemia). Anyways the past week was spirit week for our school. In honor of Spencer, who couldn’t join us, our entire junior class decided we’d wear orange (which someone googled &found was the color for leukemia).
Anyways, Katherine and I went to visit Spencer today. Most of his family was there. And even after chemo Spence is STILL smiling through everything. He smiled when he saw us and thanked us for coming. We offered to get him eggrolls next weekend and he was so excited, he even clapped his hands preaching he “LOVES EGGROLLS!!!”.
Spencer and his entire family give me so much hope. After everything they’ve been through this entire week they are still so loving and optimistic. Don’t worry Spencer, you’ll get through this, you’ll make leukemia your bitch. <3

Today I realized I’m going to be a senior next year… Scariest thought ever.
What if I don’t make it into any universities? I’d be devastated.
Kind of sucks how everyone says they only look a grades from junior year… I mean, I make pretty decent grades, so it isn’t a totally big deal. A’s and B’s, with the occasional C in math + physics. My GPA was a 3.45 last time I checked. Then again, I’m not in any clubs and I don’t play any sports. The only thing I’m apart of is my schools Math Honor Society and Leadership class. (Leadership is literally just a class where we plan events but it goes under senior pictures in the yearbook so I count it as something special, judge me).
There is nothing that makes me different from other students. I’m an average student, but colleges want someone who has something great to offer, someone who can do outstandingly well. Not me.
I’m not aiming for Harvard or Cornell, but I’d still want that acceptance letter telling me James Madison, Arizona State, or even Virginia Commonwealth has accepted me. I understand my grades and how active I am in school/around my community will affect whether or not I make it in, but I try my best. Hopefully that is good enough.
Them’s Fightin’ Tweets of the Day: And the gloves come on.
(To dispel any doubt: Mayweather tweeted the challenge himself, and a close adviser confirmed its legitimacy. All eyes now on Pacman’s Twitter feed.)
